A visual arts festival is always improved with, well you know, some visuals! Here are two videos I took during the Jongmyo Jaerye Festival this last weekend. By the way, subscribe to the youtube channel and you can see these videos as soon as they are uploaded (ahead of time).
Video #1: The Ritualistic Dance during Jongmyo Jaerye
This was during the Jongmyo Jaerye Festival in Seoul last weekend. It is the ritualistic dance done to honor the kings of the Joseon Dynasty at the Jongmyo Shrine. It is a tradition that has been done for the last 600 years.
Video #2: The Parade from Gyeongbokgung Palace to Jongmyo
This is the parade from Gyeongbokgung Palace to the Jongmyo Shrine, an hour walk away. It is done very silently to honor the memory of the Joseon Kings.
