5 More Fantastic Korean Street Foods and Side Dishes pt.2

This list is OUTDATED! I’ve combined all Korean Food lists into this single post.

It is hard to stress how amazing Korean food is. While I had some experience with it prior to visiting Korea, in reality, unless you live in a Koreatown, you can barely scratch the surface of what Korean food has to offer. This is my second post on Korean street foods and side dishes in an effort to convince you to visit South Korea not by appealing to your sense of adventure, but to your sense of taste. Make sure to also check out my South Korea Travel Guide for more SK information.

I love Korean food so much, that for this post, I will try a different approach. Instead of posting pictures, each item has a Youtube video of someone making the Korean street food or side dish.

Machu Picchu Bound! My Peru Itinerary

Just as this article gets posted, I will be hopping on a plane bound to Peru. Well actually, that is not entirely true as I have two stops in the USA. I haven’t been in US soil for almost three years, so I am really looking forward to it. My major layover is in Miami, Florida, a part of the country I have always wanted to visit, but never got around to it. Here is a rundown of my Peru itinerary, in the hopes of inspiring others to plan ahead, get out, and explore.

Buddha’s Birthday – Lotus Lantern Festival [videos] pt.2/2

Buddha’s birthday comes with a lot of celebrations, including the fantastic parade across Jongno during the Lotus Lantern Festival. If you missed the last post on the festival, check it out here. Thankfully, I was in a good spot to take some videos of the whole thing. Here are three of the best ones!

Happy Bday Buddha! – Korea’s Lotus Lantern Festival pt.1/2

Buddhism is one of the oldest religions in the world, tracing its history back to the birth of the Buddha, which means “the enlightened one,” 2556 years ago. In Korea, it is a national holiday, which thankfully landed on a Friday this year. It was pretty cool to have a three day weekend, but the festivities aren’t just about having a day off (even if it is a nice perk).

Travel Planning for Beginners in 8 Steps pt.2/5

You may not be an absolute novice, but might be a beginner looking for a more efficient way to plan a trip. ‘Travel Planning for Beginners’ is the second part of a 5 part series that explores travel planning for novice, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert travelers. If you missed the first ‘novice traveler’ post, check it out. In this guide, I will take the same approach of going through the steps as in the ‘novice’ guide, but add more options since I assume you have at least some experience booking and planning your own trips by now.

Again, this guide is with the assumption that you want to travel longer, more often, and with less money. Here are additional assumptions I am under:

Assumption 1) You have traveled a few times at most.

Assumption 2) You are not rich, and budget is important when planning a trip.

Assumption 3) You have 1-2 weeks of free time for this trip.

Step 1: Consider and Know Your Time Frame
